Polyurethane (PU) Injection Molding or Foaming Machine designed to process polyurethane chemicals into finished products, often foam or molded parts.
Material Preparation: The primary components, polyol and isocyanate, along with other additives like catalysts, blowing agents (for foam), and colorants, are stored in separate tanks within the machine. For some applications, these materials may be pre-heated to specific temperatures for optimal processing.
Metering and Mixing: Precise metering pumps control the ratio and flow rate of each chemical component, transferring them to a high-pressure mixing head or chamber. In the mixing head, the components are intensely mixed to ensure a homogeneous blend.
Injection/Dispensing: The thoroughly mixed liquid polyurethane mixture is then injected or dispensed into a mold cavity (for molded parts or foams) or sprayed onto a surface (for spray foam insulation).
Reaction and Foaming/Curing: Once in the mold or on the surface, the chemical reaction between the polyol and isocyanate begins, releasing heat (exothermic reaction) and initiating the curing process. For foam production, a blowing agent activates, causing the material to expand and form a cellular structure, filling the mold or cavity.
Cooling and Demolding/Finishing: After the reaction and curing are complete and the material has solidified, the mold is opened, and the finished polyurethane part or foam block is ejected. For foam products, further processing like cutting, shaping, or lamination might be performed.
This cyclical process allows for the efficient and precise manufacturing of various polyurethane products, from rigid insulation panels to flexible cushioning materials.
For Low pressure machine, the output of chemical ranges from 750 g to 1.5 kg/min, for high pressure machine it reaches the maximum of 3.5 kg/min.
Self cleaning by the machine with the help of compressed air and the cleaning chemical methylene chloride (MDC) solution.
For pre cooling chemical for injection with the help of chiller unit facility available with the maintained temperature of max 20° Celsius.
User friendly design and simple operation control system, HMI together with PLC computer.
